WorldWide Wildcats Weekly Email
March 12, 2019
Congratulations to the more than 75 online students who received spring 2019 scholarships, ranging from $600 to $1,500 each for a total of more than $60,000. The summer 2019 scholarship application is open now through April 1, and the fall 2019 scholarship application will open April 15. All degree-seeking Global Campus students are eligible to apply.
Many of you will be beginning the spring semester's second round of 8-week classes shortly. This is a reminder to check your K-State email and Canvas for information and announcements from your instructors. Enrollment will remain open until the first day of the class. Use our class search to view available offerings. Our apologies if you also now have Livin' on a Prayer stuck in your head. We'll make it, I swear.
Swap your purple for green and celebrate Irish history and culture Sunday, March 17. St. Patrick's Day gained its momentum in the U.S. when Irish immigrants and citizens decided to push back against negative stereotypes and show their pride for Ireland. We tip our hats to those 19th-century Irish-Americans who found a way to change hearts and minds through positive celebration.
K-State Global Campus offers 13 online minors and more than 30 online certificate programs that may complement your current area of study. Minors and certificates allow you to delve deeper into a topic that may not be covered under your major (academic bonus) and look nice on a resume (job bonus). Visit our programs website or contact us to learn more about how you can add a minor or certificate.
The Global Campus Resource Wheel (PDF) illustrates services that are available to distance students who are victims of sexual violence, dating violence, stalking and sexual harassment. It also notes which services are confidential and available 24/7.
