WorldWide Wildcats Weekly Email

August 28, 2018

So...Did You Get My Email?

Most K-State email will be sent to your K-State email address accessed through webmail. You may also receive email from your instructors through K-State Online (aka KSOL aka Canvas). Be sure to check both regularly.

Online Tutoring

The Academic Achievement Center provides online tutoring via Zoom for undergraduate Global Campus students who are enrolled in K-State courses. Zoom is like Skype and we heart it for keeping in touch with students all over the globe. Complete the Online Tutor Request Form.

Drop It Like Its Hot

If you need to drop a class, make sure you do so before the deadline. Regular session (aka full semester) courses follow these drop/refund deadlines. Non-standard (aka short) courses have unique drop/refund dates and follow these deadlines. Dropping all of your classes requires you to contact your academic dean's office. Graduate students should email grad@k-state.edu.

Proctored Testing

Some online courses may require an exam proctor. Q: What's a proctor? A: A person who monitors students during an exam. If a proctor is needed, you will receive a reminder email from our office near the start of the semester. Our website provides more information on proctoring services and locations because we're helpful like that.

Special Assistance

The Student Access Center is committed to providing equal access and opportunity for students with disabilities. Arrange for the academic accommodations and support you may need during your course.

SmarterMeasure Assessment

SmarterMeasure is an assessment which quantifies a learner’s level of readiness for studying in an online or technology-rich environment. All students at K-State Global Campus are invited to take this assessment. It’s meant to provide feedback on different aspects of your life and offers resources to help you make the most of your time at K-State. If you haven’t already been added to the SmarterMeasure course in K-State Online, you may request it here.

Happy Labor Day

The university will be closed Monday, Sept. 3 for Labor Day. We will return on Tuesday, Sept. 4 and look forward to assisting you then.
