Show me the money

Current students can apply for scholarships offered through the Office of Student Financial Assistance by March 15. These are for scholarships awarded for the 2023-2024 academic year. K-State Global Campus has a separate scholarship application that awards three times per year. See website for specific application deadlines (tip: the summer application opens tomorrow, Feb. 15!). Students are encouraged to complete both applications.

Education Abroad

Discover the world and discover yourself with Education Abroad. Global Campus students are welcome to enroll in study abroad opportunities. Get started on the Education Abroad website (note Feb. 15 and March 15 are two important upcoming deadlines) or contact them at 785-532-5990 or overseas@k-state.edu. We're also pretty sure that if you visit a country for longer than a week, you get to say you lived there.

Last day to drop without a w

Feb. 21 is the last day to drop a regular session (aka full-semester) class without a W (aka withdrawal) being recorded on your transcript. Non-standard (aka short) courses have their own unique drop/refund dates and follow these deadlines. Dropping all of your classes requires you to contact your academic dean's office. Graduate students should email grad@k-state.edu.

'Cats connect

Looking for ways to build community as an online student? Consider participating in this great opportunity, available via Zoom! 'Cats Connect is a peer-facilitated program where members will get to know each other through a series of fun and thought-provoking questions. Session 2 meets weekly beginning the week of March 27 through April 28. Register by March 22.

Deadline for name in commencement program

If you are finishing degree requirements this spring or summer, remember to apply for graduation. Doing so by March 1 will ensure your name is included in the printed commencement program. Undergraduate students: direct any questions about graduation to your academic advisor. Graduate students: view the deadlines for graduation and ETDR submission checklists and contact the K-State Graduate School at 785-532-6191 or grad@k-state.edu with any questions.

Happy Valentine's Day

The true origin of Valentine's Day is murky, but one thing is clear — eating chocolate while studying improves focus. Whether you're struck by Cupid or dodging the arrow, we hope you have a sweet Valentine's Day.

10 second rewind

If you receive an email asking for your password or offering you a job out of the blue, forward the message with its original subject to abuse@ksu.edu and then delete it. There is still time to request a tutor this semester. K-State is offering free financial workshops to help students build financial skills and enhance financial well-being.
