Save The Date

If you are expecting to graduate this December, congratulations! Commencement ceremonies will be held Dec. 13-14 in Manhattan, Kansas, (or in Salina, Kansas, if you're a K-State Polytechnic graduate) and will recognize graduates from the fall 2019 semester. If you plan to join us on campus, let's party! K-State Global Campus is hosting a Graduation Reception for distance education graduates and their guests from 4-5:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13 at the K-State Alumni Center. Please note that if you do plan to come to Manhattan, it is important to make hotel reservations as early as possible. Visit this website for more information to help plan your visit.

Tune In

Peer Advocates for Mental Wellness and Success (PAWS) is a student outreach group under K-State Counseling Services committed to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health topics. Tune into their PAWSCast- an informational, inspiring podcast providing students with education about a variety of mental health topics, as well as life skills to help them navigate through college and achieve academic, personal and social success.

WildcatLink

K-State offers networking and mentoring opportunities with professionals in your field through WildcatLink. Students can browse the public profiles of professionals and reach out for career-related support and advice. The formal mentoring program may be a good fit for students who wish to meet with a professional on a regular basis and have more individualized support. WildcatLink: Connecting K-State students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends beyond the classroom.

LGBT Resources

The LGBT Resource Center at Kansas State University is dedicated to helping the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students, staff, faculty and allied members of our campus and surrounding communities to be more secure, educated and productive in their personal and professional surroundings. Feel free to contact the center with any questions, concerns or simply to say hello. They're nice like that.

Graduate School Checklist

Make your list and check it twice. There are a number of tasks graduate students need to complete as they progress through their program. Stay on track with the Graduate School's master's degee or doctorate checklists.

Add a Minor or Certificate

K-State Global Campus offers 15 online minors and more than 30 online certificate programs that may complement your current area of study. Minors and certificates allow you to delve deeper into a topic that may not be covered under your major (academic bonus) and look nice on a resume (job bonus).
