June 1, 2021

Read Me

If you're enrolled in your first K-State Online class, you might be wondering what this WorldWide Wildcats thing is all about. It's a newsletter of sorts, featuring a variety of topics specific to online students. Contents include timely information such as enrollment dates and scholarship deadlines as well as reminders about academic resources available to online students. We love our Wildcats, near and far. This is our way of keeping you in the loop.

Student Success Resources

All K-State students have access to a Student Success Resources Canvas Course. This course was designed to provide students with easy access to key information to support success at Kansas State University. Check out this short video which explains how and why to use the Canvas course.

Scholarship Appplication Due

The fall 2021 scholarship application is due today, and degree-seeking Global Campus students are eligible to apply.

Eight-Week Courses Begin

The next round of summer courses is set to begin June 7. There are also four- and six-week summer course options that begin July 6. Enrollment is open until the first day of the class. Use the Global Campus course search to view available offerings.

Drop Date

Remember that summer courses have unique drop/refund dates and follow these deadlines.

Apply for Graduation

Yes, you actually have to apply to graduate. For some reason, universities require students to apply to get in and apply to get out. So if you're in your last semester, be sure to apply for summer graduation. Undergraduate students: direct any questions about graduation to your academic advisor. Graduate students: view the graduation and commencement deadline calendar and contact the K-State Graduate School at grad@k-state.edu with any questions.

Intersession Ends

May intersession will come to a close on June 4. Intersession is a time between university terms when students can concentrate on one class in a shorter, accelerated period of time. Whether you want to balance your schedule, work ahead on your degree or take a fun elective, intersession has something for everyone. Browse and enroll in upcoming intersession classes. August Intersession will begin Aug. 2.
