K-State Libraries

On May 22, 2018, there was a fire at Hale Library. While the fire was contained to the roof, Hale Library suffered significant smoke and water damage. The historic side of the library and the university's data center were especially hard hit. Hale Library remains closed at this time; however, online materials, interlibrary loan and Ask a Librarian are available. This Library Services FAQ is updated with the latest information on library services. We appreciate the patience you have extended as we worked to get our systems back online.

Online Tutoring

The Academic Achievement Center provides online tutoring via Zoom for undergraduate Global Campus students who are enrolled in K-State courses. Zoom is like Skype and we heart it for keeping in touch with students all over the globe. Complete the Online Tutor Request Form to request a session.

Drop it like it's hot

If you need to drop a class, make sure you do so before the deadline. Summer courses have unique drop/refund dates and follow these deadlines.

Apply For Graduation

Yes, you actually have to apply to graduate. For some reason, universities require students to apply to get in and apply to get out. So if you're in your last semester, be sure to apply for summer graduation. Undergraduate students: direct any questions about graduation to your academic advisor. Graduate students: view the graduation and commencement deadline calendar and contact the K- State Graduate School at 785-532-6191 or grad@k-state.edu with any questions.

Done is better than perfect

If you're like us, sometimes you find yourself staring at a blank computer screen, unsure where to even start on that next big project. You feel overwhelmed and you just know it's never going to be perfect. Well, we're here to tell you that perfection is overrated! Let go of the idea of perfection, and you'll find that the work will flow much easier. Because in the end, done is better than perfect.
