Welcoming Our New Dean

K-State Global Campus is excited to welcome our new dean, Karen Pedersen, who officially began Feb. 1. An expert in online learning for higher education, Dr. Pedersen previously held leadership roles at the Online Learning Consortium, Northern Arizona State University, Southwestern College and Upper Iowa University. She also was an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska, Kearney. Learn more about Dr. Pedersen in this university announcement

Apply For Graduation

Yes, you actually have to apply to graduate. For some reason, universities require students to apply to get in and apply to get out. So if you're in your last semester, be sure to apply for spring graduation. Undergraduate students: direct any questions about graduation to your academic advisor. Graduate students: view the graduation and commencement deadline calendar (PDF) and contact the K-State Graduate School at 785-532-6191 or grad@k-state.edu with any questions.

Last Day for 50% Refund

Feb. 12 is the last day to drop a regular session (aka full-semester) class for a 50% refund. Just to make things interesting, non-standard (aka short) courses have their own unique drop/refund dates and follow these deadlines. Dropping all of your classes requires you to contact your academic dean's office. Graduate students should email grad@k-state.edu.

Education Abroad

Discover the world and discover yourself with Education Abroad. Global Campus students are welcome to enroll in study abroad opportunities. Get started on the Education Abroad website (note Feb. 15 and March 15 are two important upcoming deadlines) or contact them at 785-532-5990 or overseas@k-state.edu. We're also pretty sure that if you visit a country for longer than a week, you get to say you lived there.
