Hospitality Administration Master's Degree

The hospitality administration master’s degree program is designed to provide the theoretical and research base to prepare graduates for managerial, educational or research positions in foodservice and hospitality management organizations.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the job growth rates for hospitality industry managers will exceed the national average of all occupation and management occupation job growth rates. While experience is vital to success in this industry, leaders within the hospitality industry continue to support and encourage their employees and managers to pursue a graduate degree.

This online program was designed to meet the needs of the hospitality industry by allowing students to complete the degree while working full time in the hospitality or foodservice industries. The nature of this profession often requires long hours and lacks flexibility, which makes it difficult to go back to school as a traditional face-to-face student. This program was developed to extend educational opportunities to those already working in this industry who want to complete this degree but lack the flexibility to study traditionally on campus.

Careers in Hospitality Administration

Graduates of this program are employed in all sectors of the hospitality and foodservice industries. Career options in this field include:

  • Catering manager
  • Distribution manager
  • Director of food sales
  • Event manager
  • Director of restaurant operations
  • Resort director
  • Restaurant manager
