Student Success Story

“It’s possible to mediate without certification, but having this certificate from Kansas State University increases my value and allows me more opportunity. The program made it easy to organize my time and complete the process.”

— Debra Roby '12

The conflict resolution certificate program is offered at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Students in the program will learn to address the complexity of people's lives, help them build a sense of community, foster mutual respect and cooperation, and teach them to rely on fairness rather than power as a basis for resolving disputes. They will study the dynamics of conflict and how to resolve them, which can improve both their own personal situations and their ability to contribute in the workplace.

Kansas State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The conflict resolution graduate and undergraduate certificate programs are offered through the School of Family Studies and Human Services in the College of Health and Human Sciences.
