Adult Learning and Leadership Doctorate

The adult learning and leadership doctorate program focuses on current issues and challenges faced by those who work with adults. Create a pathway to future success as a researcher or practitioner through challenging and insightful coursework and personal relationships with other students and full-time faculty advisors.

This program provides a broad and human-centered curriculum that will allow you to select courses that best meet your professional goals. You’ll have the opportunity to choose from more than 25 elective courses or create a specialization in leadership, teaching and learning, technology, community development, training or workforce development.

Careers in Adult Learning and Leadership

The adult learning and leadership doctorate will prepare you for a career in the education, corporate and nonprofit sectors, including a position as a college or university faculty member or administrator, or a corporate learning and development leader. The program is also useful in religious or training settings in which the application of adult learning principles, leadership, theories and research are important. Graduates of this program have gone on to become military leaders, university professors and administrators, corporate trainers, community college instructors and administrators, and nonprofit educators and directors.
