- Coordinate and monitor incoming jobs to the Marketing and Communication Services, Duplicating/Mail Center, and handle monthly billing for duplicating, labels, postage, and desktop publishing.
- Manage all duplicating, mailings, and shipping materials.
- Maintain publication and duplicating files and records.
- Supervise Duplicating/Mail Center student staff.
Kim Schurle serves as the Information Specialist I in the Kansas State University Global Campus Marketing and Communication Services unit. She has been in this position for the last 16 years. Her primary responsibilities include supervising five students and providing project management services for distance education, conferences and other K-State Global Campus programs. She handles processing of new projects and in-house print or copy requests, 2+2 partnership flyers with community colleges, and interfaces with the administration and finance office when handling payments for projects completed by the Marketing and Communication Services unit. She also generates the internal newsletter, Your Global Connection.
In spring 2011, she was honored by receiving the Departmental Employee of the Year for 2010 by K-State Classified Senate. The following spring she was presented with the K-State Classified Award of Excellence for the Office and Clerical staff for 2011 at K-State. She has served as the chair of the Esprit de Corps Committee for seven years.
Prior to joining K-State Global Campus, Kim acquired previous office experience with Larson Construction, Inc. and the Riley County Rural Water District. Prior to full-time employment, she worked as a student employee in K-State Division of Continuing Education, now K-State Global Campus.
Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness from Kansas State University. She is active in in the Fairview Presbyterian Church, Riley, Kansas, serving as the pianist part-time. She also serves as the Recording Secretary on the Riley County High School Alumni Board.
Kim and her husband, Patrick, will have two children, Alexis and Lane. They farm in northwest Riley County.
