- Facilitates the development and management of distance courses and programs for the Colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. Also works with the College of Arts and Sciences in the biology and physical science areas in order to enhance curricular structure for existing distance programs and to discover new areas for programming.
- Works with content experts and administrators to develop curriculum plans.
- Collaborates with the Colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine to address concerns and needs of faculty and staff as they relate to K-State Global Campus programs.
- Provides market analysis and enrollment reports to Colleges.
Janel Koons facilitates the coordination and delivery of credit and some noncredit programs for the Colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. Janel also works closely with Ag IDEA, where partnering universities come together to offer fully-online graduate and undergraduate coursework and programs.
Janel completed her Master's in Adult and Continuing Education online through Kansas State University in 2015. Through her career experiences, Janel has coordinated programs through Extension, retail horticulture, veterinary medicine and senior adult activities. She is passionate about bringing meaningful programming to life-long learners, which includes being involved with Women Managing the Farm and sharing her interests through organized activities.
