2018 UPCEA National International Program of Excellence
Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS)
The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) has partnered with Kansas State University to offer a noncredit professional development program to support international growth in the grain industry. GEAPS is an international professional society dedicated to providing its members with forums to generate leadership, innovation and excellence in grain-related industry operations. It serves as a resource for the grain handling industry operations.
2017 ACHE National Outstanding Services to Underserved Populations Program
Integrated Language Skills Program
The Integrated Language Skills program is a noncredit partnership between Global Campus and the Center for Intercultural and Multilingual Advocacy. The program secured a grant from COMEXUS, a binational organization functioning as a partnership between Mexico and the United States to support students, researchers and teachers, and was implemented in 2016. Its aim was for English teachers living in Mexico to gain additional proficiency speaking and writing English.

Rural Grocery Summit
The Rural Grocery Summit is held annually in America’s heartland, bringing together rural grocery stakeholders from across the country to discuss the gradual disappearance of rural grocery stores across America and how best to sustain what’s left, as well as foster opportunities for growth, of this critical piece of community infrastructure.
2017 UPCEA Central Region Mature Noncredit Program
K-State Leadership Seminar
The seminar, held each spring on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, Kansas, was first offered in 1997, and its mission is to enhance the leadership skills and capacities of the K-State community and communities throughout Kansas.
2017 UPCEA Central Region Engagement Award
UFM Community Learning Center
UFM Community Learning Center, a unit within K-State Global Campus, was recognized for its creative educational programs serving K-State, as well as the Manhattan, Kansas, community and other communities across Kansas.
2017 UPCEA Central Region Mature Credit Program
Personal Financial Planning
With the addition of a bachelor’s degree in 2017, K-State’s online personal financial planning program offers a degree program at every academic level. K-State’s programs in Personal Financial Planning are well-known in the industry and its online doctorate was the first known doctorate to be offered largely in an online format, in addition to being one of only five doctoral programs in the nation registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
EXCELL (Extended College Education for Lifelong Learning)
Project Extended College Education for Lifelong Learning (EXCELL) is a noncredit program targeting area adults with developmental disabilities.
Community Development Master's Degree
Presented to the K-State community development program in the landscape architecture and regional and community planning department.
