Last Day for 50% Refund

Sept. 20 is the last day to drop a regular session (aka full-semester) class for a 50% refund. Just to make things interesting, non-standard (aka short) courses have their own unique drop/refund dates. For this reason, it is important to know how to view drop/refund dates for each course on your schedule. Dropping all of your classes requires you to contact your academic dean's office. Graduate students should email grad@k-state.edu.

Brace yourself: Scammers are coming

K-State will never ask for a password via email. If you receive an email asking for your password, delete it immediately. Phishing scams use creative ways to try and get you to share personal information. Information Technology Services says "don't take the bait!" #clever Review ways to protect yourself online.

Deadline for commencement program

Graduating seniors: apply for graduation by Sept. 18 so your dean's office has time to review and approve prior to the Oct. 8 deadline for names to be printed in the commencement program. Check the commencement ceremonies website frequently for updates regarding the schedule of ceremonies, graduation checklists and other announcements. Undergraduate students: direct any questions about graduation to your academic advisor. Graduate students: view the deadlines for graduation and ETDR submission checklists and contact the K-State Graduate School at 785-532-6191 or grad@k-state.edu with any questions.

Online tutoring

Just a friendly reminder that the Academic Achievement Center provides online tutoring via Zoom for undergraduate Global Campus students who are enrolled in K-State courses. Whether you're anxious about a course after seeing the syllabus or confident in the material and could benefit from help to lock in that A, schedule a tutoring session today.

The library and your research

Calling all graduate students: join K-State Libraries for The Library and Your Research, a free workshop series co-sponsored by the Graduate Student Council that helps graduate students enhance and professionalize their scholarly pursuits. Each session takes place online from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Central Time with varying topics throughout the fall semester. Those interested can join a workshop by visiting the events website. Tip: look for the GRAD tiles.
