WorldWide Wildcats Weekly Email
February 16, 2021
Feb. 22 is the last day to drop a regular session (aka full-semester) class for a 50% refund. Just to make things interesting, non-standard (aka short) courses have their own unique drop/refund dates and follow these deadlines. Dropping all of your classes requires you to contact your academic dean's office. Graduate students should email grad@k-state.edu.
Student ID cards are available to K-State Global Campus students via postal mail. A digital color copy of a government-issued photo ID and photo are required. New cards are $18 and replacement cards are $20 (+ $1.50 postage). Apply for the Global Campus Wildcat ID. If you live within a 50-mile radius of Manhattan, you're asked to visit the ID Center in the Student Union to obtain your Student ID. Use it as an excuse to visit campus! Treat yourself with a scoop or three of Call Hall ice cream while you're at it.
Powercat Financial offers free, confidential financial counseling for K-State students. Schedule an appointment and meet online with a trained financial counselor who can provide information about budgeting, student loan planning and repayment, saving, identity theft and more.
K-State will never ask for a password via email. If you receive an email asking for your password, delete it immediately. Phishing scams use creative ways to try and get you to share personal information. Information Technology Services says "don't take the bait!" #clever Review ways to protect yourself online.
There is still time to request a tutor this semester. Unsure if tutoring is right for you? Here's what to expect.
