WorldWide Wildcats Weekly Email
April 14, 2020
Monday, April 20, is the last day to drop a regular session (aka full-semester) class. Please note this is an extension from the previous drop date due to the unprecedented situation this semester. Non-standard (aka short) courses have their own unique drop/refund dates and follow these deadlines. If you are concerned about a class, please consider contacting your instructor or academic advisor to discuss possible options first. Dropping all of your classes requires you to contact your academic dean's office. Graduate students should email grad@k-state.edu.
Have you heard about the A/Pass/Fail grade option? The policy isn't new; however, it is a bit more relaxed this semester given the circumstances. If you haven't already, read Provost Taber's 'Guidance for A/Pass/Fail grade option for spring 2020'. As you will see in the referenced FAQ, there are possible implications in making this decision so please read it thoroughly before contacting your advisor or major professor. The deadline to submit the opt-in form is Friday, May 8 at 5 p.m. CDT.
On March 27, President Donald Trump signed a historic $2.2 trillion stimulus package into effect to assist the struggling economy as well as American workers. This multi-faceted stimulus package will apply differently according to your each individual's unique situation. Read 'What the $2 Trillion COVID-19 Bill Means for You'.
Friday, April 24, is the last day for graduate students to submit their approval forms and complete the KSIS graduation application to defend and graduate in May. See the K-State Graduate School Graduation and Commencement Deadlines Calendar for details. Undergraduate students: direct any questions about graduation to your academic advisor. It's the final countdown.
Good news! The fall 2020 scholarship application opens tomorrow, April 15, and degree-seeking Global Campus students are eligible to apply. Applications are due by June 1, 2020.
