WorldWide Wildcats Weekly Email
September 3, 2019
Most K-State email will be sent to your K-State email address accessed through webmail. You may also receive email from your instructors through Canvas. Be sure to check both regularly.
If you need to drop a class, make sure you do so before the deadline. Regular session (aka full semester) courses follow these drop/refund deadlines. Non-standard (aka short) courses have unique drop/refund dates and follow these deadlines. Dropping all of your classes requires you to contact your academic dean's office. Graduate students should email grad@k-state.edu.
Dreaming of going abroad, but not sure where to start planning? Consider earning college credit while you're at it, and leave the details to our K-State experts! Check out these programs that our friends and colleagues in Education Abroad highlighted especially for Global Campus students. Don't miss out on the opportunity to learn more about scholarship opportunities to finance your trip with the Gilman Scholarship webinar scheduled for 2 p.m. CST on Friday, Sept. 2. Find the recorded webinar here if you can't watch it live.
Just a friendly reminder that the Academic Achievement Center provides online tutoring via Zoom for undergraduate Global Campus students who are enrolled in K-State courses. Whether you're anxious about a course after seeing the syllabus or confident in the material and could benefit from help to lock in that A, call them today to request a tutor.
Some online courses may require an exam proctor. Q: What's a proctor? A: A person who monitors students during an exam. If a proctor is needed, you will receive a reminder email from our office near the start of the semester. Our website provides more information on proctoring services and locations because we're helpful like that.
K-State Global Campus realizes many of you in the Florida area may be affected directly in the upcoming days and weeks by Hurricane Dorian. The Student Success and Advising office is here to help. Please reach out to us at any time if you are experiencing issues or are unable to participate in your online courses in any way. We will work with your professors and assist you with any academic needs you may have. You may also reach out to your professors and request extensions or accommodations if needed. We send our best wishes for your safety and well-being.
The Student Access Center is committed to providing equal access and opportunity for students with disabilities. Contact their office to arrange the academic accommodations and support you may need during your course.
If you're in the Kansas City area and would like to have a K-State Student ID card, don't miss this opportunity!
