Welcome to the Fall 2017 Semester

Welcome all new and returning Kansas State University Global Campus students to the official first day of the fall 2017 semester. Note to self: you've got this! Fill up your coffee cup, because every Monday for the next 16 weeks, we'll be delivering you need-to-know information just for distance students aka the WorldWide Wildcats.

What does that mean?

As you learn online, you may encounter new technology-related terms or systems. This list of distance learning terminology may help identify some of the requirements or features in your courses. Here's to you being in the know.

K-State Online

Access your online classes through K-State Online (aka KSOL aka Canvas aka that place you'll be spending all your time). Download the app on Android and iOS devices to take your courses with you on the go.

Tuition is Due

Tuition for most students is due today at 3 p.m. CST. Visit your Student Center in KSIS for details. There are two online payment methods: paying by credit card incurs a fee, while paying by electronic payment out of a checking account is free of charge. The Tuition Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) allows payments to be spread out over the semester. View all payment options.

Textbooks

See our website for specific instructions on how to locate and purchase required textbooks. Make sure to order textbooks and materials right away to account for shipping times. Not everyone can be Amazon Prime.

Treat Yo'self

As a K-State student, you have access to free software, including Microsoft Office (yeah, you heard that right). The Microsoft Office package includes desktop and mobile app versions and can be installed on up to five PCs or Macs, five tablets and five phones.
