Admission Requirements for the Reading Specialist Endorsement Program

To be eligible for this program, applicants must have or be working toward a graduate degree and must hold a current professional teaching license.

Application Deadlines

For Domestic Students

Applications are accepted throughout the year.      

For International Students
  • January 1 for Fall (August enrollment)
  • August 1 for Spring (January enrollment)
  • December 1 for Summer (June enrollment)

How to Apply

Graduate school applications for domestic students and international students are available as well as an orientation to distance learning at Kansas State University.

Students who wish to enroll their first semester as a nondegree-seeking student can visit the How to Enroll page for more information.

After one semester, students must be admitted to the K-State Graduate School with a College of Education nondegree status.

Primary Language

To demonstrate competence in the English language, an official report of scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System - academic exam (IELTS) or Pearson Test of English (PTE) must be sent to Kansas State University for all applicants whose primary language is not English.
