Mathematics Education

The mathematics education area of specialization in the Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction includes seven math education courses offered online for graduate credit.

In this area of study, participants will:

  • develop a deeper foundation for understanding the teaching and learning of K–12 mathematics
  • implement the Common Core State Standards with an emphasis on content standards and standards for mathematical practice
  • learn about historical and contemporary issues in mathematics education

Courses can be taken for credit or noncredit options.
