Food Safety and Defense Graduate Certificate

The food safety and defense graduate certificate provides advanced education and training in the food science industry for food scientists and others to advance in the field and explore a diverse range of food science topics.

This program is offered through AG*IDEA, a national consortium of universities offering programs and courses in agriculture disciplines. 

Careers in Food Safety and Defense

Graduates of the program can be found working in areas such as:

  • quality assurance
  • food microbiology and safety
  • management and sales
  • product development
  • research and evaluation
  • consumer relations
  • technical services

Accreditation

Kansas State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The food safety and defense graduate certificate program is offered through the K-State Food Science Institute in the College of Agriculture.
