Award Nominations

K-State Global Campus honors the outstanding achievements and contributions of online students, faculty, advisors and staff. We invite nominations for these awards by following the links provided below. Award recipients are recognized personally and through a university-wide announcement in K-State Today.

Excellence in Online Teaching Award

Awarded to an online instructor or faculty member who has provided outstanding online teaching, course development, mentoring of students and service to the field of continuing education.

Extraordinary Student Award

Awarded to a currently enrolled distance education student who has overcome an obstacle in the path of his or her education and who demonstrates academic excellence, focus and career ambition in his or her studies at K-State. Recipients of the Extraordinary Student Award will receive a $500 Global Campus scholarship. The student must be enrolled or planning to enroll in the summer or fall 2023 semester at K-State in order to receive the scholarship.

Global Campus Program Advancement and Support Award

The purpose of the Global Campus Program Advancement and Support award is to recognize an individual who has significantly contributed to the support or advancement of K-State Global Campus programs, initiatives, services or learners. Some examples include extending services and support to students studying at a distance, providing support for development or revitalization of programs for Global Campus learners and providing support that enhances the productivity of a unit or multiple units within K-State Global Campus. Advancement and support of credit, noncredit or both types of programs are considered. Nominees may not be a current employee of K-State Global Campus.

Exceptional Achievement Award for Global Campus Staff

The purpose of the Exceptional Achievement Award for Global Campus Staff is to recognize the accomplishments of a Global Campus staff member or team which elevate services to stakeholders, improve processes or provide other benefits that advance Global Campus and the university. Nominees must be a current employee of K-State Global Campus. Team nominations are permitted.
